Landlords & Tenants
Housing should be your right, not someone else’s commodity.
Our Toronto-based Millennial and Gen Z team of lawyers and legal professionals know this all too well. That’s why we’re happy to provide residential real estate legal services to tenants and landlords seeking the best legal representation they can find to help with housing-related legal matters.
We assist with Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) reviews, Divisional Court appeals and judicial reviews of LTB orders, and rental-related proceedings in Small Claims, Superior Court, or Bankruptcy Court.* We also assist with municipal law matters (e.g., permits, bylaws, land use) for property owners and managers, and provide corporate law services for housing-focused businesses and organizations.
In connection with our housing law practice, we write a housing law blog (aka LTB Whisperer), where we attempt to address the public’s top housing law concerns with practical advice written in plain language.
*As of October 1, 2025, with few exceptions, the firm is no longer accepting new LTB cases. We will continue to accept cases pertaining to review of an LTB order and/or appeal to Divisional Court. We also accept landlord and tenant cases in Small Claims, Superior Court, and Bankruptcy Court. For those seeking legal assistance with a new LTB matter, you may wish to contact one of the individuals listed on our paralegal referrals page.

Marc is the founding lawyer at Green Economy Law Professional Corporation.
Following a period of service in the Israeli military, three years of law school in New York City, and a stint at the premier entertainment law firm Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks, Marc moved back to his hometown of Toronto in 2018. He obtained a legal masters degree in Canadian law, took the Ontario bar exam, began looking for a job at a local firm, but found the available options unappealing. So in February 2020, with impeccable timing, he launched Green Economy Law to focus on solving the world’s biggest challenges, one case at a time…
Marc frequently writes about environment, health, and housing policy, and his articles have been published by the Toronto Star, blogTO, NOW Magazine, the National Observer, Energy Mix, and Psychedelic Spotlight. He runs the websites PsychedelicLaw.ca and vegandigitalnomad.com, and has been quoted in Bloomberg, CBC, CTV News, The Trillium, Psychedelic Alpha, Tripsitter, and other media.
Outside of his work with the firm, Marc is a member of the Toronto Community Bikeways Coalition and sits on the VegTO board of directors (he’s been vegan since 2011, plant-based since 2006).
